Powerhouse COVID-19 update

The Powerhouse and Museums Discovery Centre are open in line with the latest NSW Government’s public health orders. The Sydney Observatory is temporarily closed for maintenance works. Please sign up here to receive updates when it re-opens in 2022.

Anyone aged 16 years or over will need to provide proof of full vaccination (two doses) or a medical exemption for entry. Unvaccinated visitors under 16 must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult.

You can prove you have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine in one of the following ways:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate (Medicare or MyGov Apps)
  • COVID-19 digital certificate can also be added to a Service NSW app and shared as part of the QR check-in
  • Digital Immunisation history statement (Medicare or MyGov Apps)
  • Printed copy of COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history statement

Masks must be worn at all times. Children 12 years and under are exempt but encouraged to wear masks where practicable. Please continue to be mindful of 1.5 m physical distancing and hand hygiene protocols.
