Spanish-Australian astrophysicist, astronomer and science communicator Dr Ángel R López-Sánchez will create a body of images connecting the Sydney Observatory, the city, and the sky through astrophotography.
López-Sánchez is a senior lecturer in astronomy at Australian Astronomical Optics, Macquarie University, where he researches galaxy evolution. He previously worked at the CSIRO, where he researched radio-interferometric observations of galaxies. He has published 166 research papers and has over 11000 citations. López-Sánchez regularly shares his passion for the cosmos on his podcast The Skyentists, SBS Radio and at astronomy events throughout Sydney.
