The Powerhouse Museum has launched its inaugural residency program for creative industries with expressions of interest open until 6 September 2019.

The Powerhouse Creative Industries Residency Program, located at the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo, will provide work space for NSW-based creative industry practitioners and organisations from diverse practices.

The program will offer subsidised space alongside the opportunity for residents to work on projects at the Powerhouse and to engage with audiences through the co-development of public programs. The Program further extends the Powerhouse’s investment into NSW creative practice and research.

“The Powerhouse is committed to supporting and investing into NSW creative industries. We will provide subsidised spaces for practitioners to sustain and expand their practice in a supportive and collaborative environment,” said Lisa Havilah, Chief Executive, Powerhouse Museum.

Residents will receive subsidised working spaces ranging from 25sqm to 50sqm or larger according to requirements, along with communal facilities. Spaces are available from 3 months for up to 24 months.

The Museum will select residents taking into account diverse practices across the creative industries that relate to the Powerhouse. Practitioners from NSW working in the creative industries are welcome to apply.
