Powerhouse Parramatta announces First Nations residency program in partnership with the Cité internationale des arts, Paris

Applications are now open for the galang residency 2023. This program will support two Australian based First Nations creatives to undertake a 12-week fully subsidised residency in Paris, hosted by the Cité internationale des arts. The program is open to First Nations creatives and cultural practitioners working across a range of disciplines. Two 12-week residencies will be offered in 2023:

4 May – 28 July 2023
3 July – 27 September 2023

The residency covers return economy flights from Sydney to Paris, accommodation in Paris at the Cité internationale des arts and per diems for food and travel within Paris. All applicants must be over 18 and be an Australian citizen or resident.

Application process


Please include in your application:

A summary of the project/research/collaboration you wish to pursue in Paris, including how you will achieve the project (one page maximum)
Your CV and biography (two pages maximum)
Examples of your work as captioned images (no more than five images) or links to video and audio files

Applications close 5pm AEDT, 9 February 2023.  Late applications will not be considered. The successful applicants will be announced by 20 February 2023.
