At the Museums Discovery Centre you can participate in one of our Storage Glimpse sessions at 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm and 2:30pm every Saturday and Sunday.
This is a chance to see behind the scenes within our storage spaces not usually open to the public and a great opportunity to learn more about the Museums Discovery Centre’s role in preserving Australia’s history. Hosts will be available to answer questions and spark discussions on how we collect, care for and store objects.
In November we will dive into the social history collection.
Visitors will view a collection of objects of importance to Australian society and culture. This might include items from daily life, including musical instruments and furniture, or perhaps even treasures from historic events such as the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
Storage Glimpse sessions are free and no bookings are required.
To help plan your visit, please find information here about the measures we’ve put in place in response to COVID-19 to keep everyone safe.
