In this short, family-friendly, workshop participants will be introduced to the basics of robotics coding using Code-a-pillar and mBot — educational tools that make programming simple and fun.
Each Code-a-pillar and mBot has a range of motors and sensors that can be programmed using block-based coding. Young participants will complete a series of challenges to customise their robot while developing their logical and computational thinking skills. Participants will be encouraged to draw inspiration from space exploration robots, such as the Mars rovers.
This family-friendly workshop is designed to encourage conversations between young learners and adults that establish a framework for learning to continue at home.
Recommended for ages 5+. Children must be accompanied by an adult, although one adult may accompany multiple children within a small group of family and friends. Bookings essential for all participants (children and adults).
