Join the Persian community for a family-friendly day at Powerhouse Ultimo to celebrate Sizdah Be-Dar (also known as Nature Day). Sizdah Be-Dar is held on 2 April every year (the 13th day of Nowruz) to mark the end of the Persian New Year festivities. This day is traditionally celebrated outdoors by picnicking and dancing to music with community and family.
Listen to music played by Iranian-Australian DJ Allen, and experience Middle Eastern Jazz Fusion by the world-class Eishan Ensemble. Join the annual backgammon competition and hear traditional stories and histories centred in Persian culture. Take part in traditional egg painting to create a communal artwork and enjoy Persian cuisine.
