Twenty-nine emerging contemporary dancers enrolled in Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year perform a new work inspired by Zampatti Powerhouse.
Over the semester, students will engage with the exhibition to create a movement vocabulary inspired by Carla Zampatti’s personal history and professional legacy. This will culminate in a morning performance of experimental movement at Powerhouse, echoing components of Zampatti’s work. The performance will feature live music accompaniment by members of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra playing violin and theorbo.
