The Museums Discovery Centre has partnered with upcycling artist and Koala train creator, Rosie Deacon who will present a wearable sculpture workshop for young people aged 8–12.
Participants will explore their intuition, creativity and obsessions; working with materials both natural and manufactured to produce a unique piece of jewellery that can be thought of as wearable sculpture.
Rosie Deacon works across different forms including sculpture and installation, producing work that features an explosion of Australiana, colour and whimsy.
This workshop is free, but bookings are essential as places are limited.
Parental supervision is not required for this program. Parents and guardians are welcome to explore the Museums Discovery Centre while the workshop is being held. Entry is free.
