The Powerhouse collaborates with the Re-Right Collective to celebrate the creativity, strength and diversity of our communities. Bringing together a range of artists, performers and creatives, Re-Right invites you to an interactive display of community togetherness. Roots will hold a curated night market featuring local Blak businesses, creative workshops, performances, installations and yarns.
Re-Right is an artistic collective between Carmen Glynn-Braun (Southern Arrernte, Kaytetye, and Anmatyerre); and Dennis Golding (Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay). Both artists are based in Sydney and their collective spans artistic, curatorial, writing and research disciplines. Re-Right aims to uncover past colonial violence and trauma to inform contemporary Australian life, and in doing so aims to facilitate a healing approach through the uncovering of often hard truths.
