Artist Rosie Deacon’s popular installation Koala Train continues at the Museums Discovery Centre.
During the July school holidays, visitors can enjoy the added fun of hands-on art and craft activities designed by Rosie alongside her artwork.
In this Koala Sculpture Workshop participants will be able to use recycled fabrics and yarn to create their own textile koalas, that they get to take home.
Participants will draw inspiration from the Koala Train installation and be guided by its creator Rosie ― who will demonstrate hand-sewing and embellishment techniques.
This workshop is recommended for children aged 8–12 years. All materials will be provided. The event is free, but bookings are essential. Please note parents may not attend this workshop.
