Presented by the Powerhouse and TAFE NSW, the Creative Studio is a free digital and creative skills workshop for high-school students in Western Sydney.
Working alongside graphic artist Travis De Vries in this three-day Creative Studio workshop, students from years 7 to 10 will have the opportunity to draw on De Vries’ rich background in visual arts, performance, literature and Indigenous culture. Within his work, De Vries creates an extended universe of contemporary mythology drawing on a deep understanding of Gamilaroi lore. He brings to life new worlds within worlds, characters on the page, canvas, and through large sculptural work to grow new and evolving trends.
This workshop is free but bookings are essential as places are limited. Students will be required to attend all three days of their workshop of choice.
