RegionalTourWorkshop
11 October 2023, 10.30am – 2.30pm Powerhouse Castle Hill Book Tickets

Join Powerhouse registrars Bronwyn McKenzie and Yasmin Green for a workshop on the dilemma of legacy issues in a collection. If you have any undocumented objects in your collection, or objects that are unrelated to your collection policy, this workshop provides useful steps to resolve the predicament.

Bronwyn and Yasmin will also cover procedures for dealing with old uncollected loans and unidentified objects and will provide strategies for how to approach these issues. The workshop will touch on defining your museum’s collection policy so that you ameliorate the risk of unwanted donated objects.

This event is designed for staff and volunteers working in museums and the collecting sector. The session will conclude with a one-hour tour, led by a museum registrar, of one of our storage areas. Bookings essential, a light lunch is included.
