Andy Butler is an artist, writer and curator. His writing on art, politics and power has been published widely. As a curator, he has delivered independent projects at BLINDSIDE and Bundoora Homestead Art Centre to national acclaim. He was most recently (Acting) Artistic Director at West Space.

As an artist, he works with film, installation and painting. He has shown his work at The Substation, Bus Projects, Firstdraft and Footscray Community Art Centre. In 2019 he undertook an Asialink residency with Green Papaya in Manila. He is a 2021 recipient of the Creative Victoria Creators Fund to research the archetype of the white saviour.
