The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences sits at the intersection of art, design, science and technology, and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. Established in 1881, the Museum includes Powerhouse Ultimo, Sydney Observatory, the Museums Discovery Centre and will expand to include Powerhouse Parramatta — the largest cultural infrastructure project currently being undertaken in Australia.

The Museum is custodian to over half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. The revitalisation of Powerhouse Ultimo and launch of Powerhouse Parramatta offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that is redefining and reinvigorating a much-loved institution.

Engaging and connecting the Powerhouse with communities, industry and government from across NSW, Australia and internationally the position will build partnerships, audiences and profile for the Powerhouse.

This newly created role is a significant opportunity to contribute to the renewal of the Powerhouse. The role is responsible for leading, planning and directing all ICT activities in response to the renewal and ongoing operations.

You will have extensive experience in providing technical leadership in information and communication technology, and a proven track record in the delivery of major ICT transformation projects.
